Overview Bronx Community College seeks adjunct faculty to teach courses in Communication Arts & Sciences, including Fundamentals of Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking and Critical Listening, Intercultural Communication, Introduction to Film, World Cinema, Introduction to Mass Communication, Introduction to Theatre, Voice & Diction, and others.
Responsibilities
Teach courses during day, evening, Saturday, and Sunday as required.
Perform research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise.
Share responsibility for committee and department assignments, including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
Qualifications Adjunct Assistant Professor:
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent and ability to teach successfully.
Adjunct Lecturer:
Bachelor’s degree in area(s) of expertise, ability to teach successfully; Master’s degree preferred in area of expertise.
Preferred for all titles: ability to teach successfully and prior college teaching experience.
Compensation Adjunct Lecturer: $100.41 - $107.79 per hour.
Adjunct Assistant Professor: $109.54 - $116.56 per hour.
