About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join a growing accounting team and support daily operations across accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This role is ideal for someone looking to strengthen their accounting foundation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with multi-entity exposure and advanced system experience. The Junior Accountant will play an integral role in ensuring accurate financial data and assisting with year-end close.
Key Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant
Manage Accounts Payable functions including invoice processing, coding, and vendor communication (approximately 100 invoices monthly).
Assist with bank and account reconciliations across 8+ bank accounts and several entities.
Support journal entries, intercompany accounting, and ensure subledger-to-GL accuracy.
Prepare deposits, assist with invoicing, and participate in month-end close activities.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in reconciliations
Contribute to special accounting projects and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor to improve workflows and system efficiency.
Junior Accountant Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
Strong understanding of debits/credits, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
Experience with NetSuite and/or Microsoft GP preferred
Proficient in Excel (filtering, lookups, subledger tie-outs).
Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to ask questions and learn.
Comfortable adapting to new systems and process changes with patience and initiative.
