Position Summary Step into a dynamic leadership role as the Food & Beverage Supervisor, where you’ll oversee daily operations of food and guest‑focused amenities. You'll ensure top‑tier quality, cleanliness, and hospitality while creating memorable experiences. Lead and support a team through training, scheduling, and performance management to maintain a welcoming and efficient environment. This role also includes managing inventory, ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance, and collaborating with other departments to deliver smooth, guest‑focused service. The Supervisor leads and supports a team of associates, ensuring proper training, scheduling, and performance management to maintain a welcoming and efficient service environment. This position also manages inventory, monitors food safety and sanitation compliance, and collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. A successful Food and Beverage Supervisor demonstrates strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for service. They are proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, resolving guest concerns, and creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for both guests and team members. This role plays a key part in upholding the highest standards and enhancing the overall value of the guest’s stay.
Essential Functions
Supervise and manage the daily operations of the food and beverage department.
Ensure that the level of quality and presentation is met according to standards on a daily basis.
Personally respond to all guests’ comments and complaints to ensure they are handled promptly.
Train staff for job competency and ensure they are aware of hotel policies and procedures, including service standards for the hotel and guest brand standards regarding service and cleanliness.
Monitor the department to ensure all brand requirements are met on a daily basis in both the kitchen area and front of the house.
Review standards to ensure the department is operating within brand and hotel requirements.
Deal with staff inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Responsible for training, supervising, and monitoring food sanitation and safety procedures in the kitchen and dining area.
Collaborate with the sales and housekeeping departments to ensure banquets are handled according to BEO requirements and to the guests’ satisfaction.
Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, inspiring employees to meet and exceed standards and guests’ expectations.
Responsible for training, management, development, and evaluation of all food and beverage employees.
Ensure compliance with all hotel and brand policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Education and Experience
Previous food & beverage experience.
Previous supervisor experience.
Certificate in Food Sanitation is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, including reading, writing, and speaking fluently.
Certified food handler.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced and high‑volume environment.
Ability to motivate and train employees in guest services.
Additional Responsibilities
Adhere to all work rules, policies, and procedures established by the hotel, including but not limited to those contained in the employee handbook.
Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands; employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
