We are looking for a Product Mechanical Engineer to help bring our next‑generation wearable hardware from concept to mass production. You will work closely with electrical, industrial design, and manufacturing teams to develop robust, ergonomic, and high‑quality products.

We are an early‑stage, stealth tech startup based in San Francisco, developing innovative hardware that rethinks human‑computer interaction. While we can’t reveal too much just yet, our team is tackling cutting‑edge engineering challenges to bring revolutionary products to life.

Responsibilities

Support mechanical design and integration of complex electro‑mechanical assemblies.

Develop 3D CAD models, mechanical layouts, and assemblies in SolidWorks.

Drive DFM, tolerance analysis, and reliability validation.

Collaborate with EE and ID teams to define mechanical constraints, MCOs, and packaging approaches.

Manage prototype builds and coordinate with ODMs and contract manufacturers during development and production.

Participate in failure analysis, reliability testing, and design revisions.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics, ideally including headphone or wearable devices.

Hands‑on experience taking at least one product from concept through mass production.

Proficient in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.

Familiar with injection molding, machining, adhesives, and assembly design.

Understanding of DFM, tolerance stack‑up, and reliability fundamentals.

Strong communication and documentation skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Comfortable in a fast‑paced, iterative startup environment.

Preferred

Experience with soft goods, such as ear cushions or headband materials.

Familiarity with mechanical or thermal simulation (FEA).

Exposure to ODM/CM collaboration and overseas manufacturing.

Knowledge of materials selection and ergonomics for wearable products.

Background in acoustic or thermal design integration.
