Associate Director, Talent Acquisition at Havas
Purpose of the Role
As the Director of Programmatic Media, you will be a dynamic leader with a genuine passion for the industry, possessing deep expertise in programmatic media planning and buying. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met, aligning with the agreed‑upon work scope. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of accountability within the internal team, as well as with our valued clients. Your primary focus will be on collaborating with internal stakeholders, strategic platform partners, and clients to create innovative, integrated solutions that address complex business challenges. This role reports directly to the VP of Programmatic and presents a unique opportunity to provide thought leadership on the evolution of programmatic for our clients.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Client Experience, MarTech, and Analytics teams to ensure the programmatic team delivers cutting‑edge, integrated digital technology solutions. You will foster a culture of innovation and best practices, placing them at the core of all recommendations.
Act as the primary point of contact for all client‑related issues, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and building strong, long‑lasting client relationships.
Lead the evaluation of programmatic media within the context of overall campaign strategy to achieve optimal outcomes for clients’ business objectives.
Take ownership of the programmatic team’s output, driving account strategy, campaign quality, process adoption, and client communication.
Foster the development and growth of the team through regular catch‑ups and individualized growth plans.
Manage the smooth onboarding of new team members, scheduling comprehensive training plans, and conducting regular checkpoint meetings to evaluate their progress within the team.
Proactively manage expectations with clients and client teams regarding project timelines and scope of work, effectively communicating any potential changes or challenges that may arise.
Work closely with the VP, Programmatic to ensure proper staffing levels and address concerns proactively.
Contribute to new business efforts by conducting research, developing strategies, and actively participating in pitches to showcase the programmatic team’s capabilities.
Cultivate a culture of thought leadership and mentorship within the team, actively participating in meetings and fostering knowledge‑sharing across functions.
Enforce rigorous quality assurance to ensure error‑free delivery of campaigns, maintaining best‑in‑class standards.
Drive programmatic discussions and advocate for technology adoption within the Havas Performance Investment Team.
Develop comprehensive budget plans across platforms and partners to achieve Havas’ commercial targets for managed accounts.
Identify training and learning opportunities for the team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Assist the Head of Programmatic in distributing updates and best practices among the team, ensuring comprehension and seamless adoption of procedures.
Provide guidance and coaching to programmatic supervisors and associate directors, ensuring the delivery of well‑thought‑out media recommendations and performance reports.
Skills and Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years of experience in programmatic media planning and buying.
Demonstrated expertise in managing and coaching high‑performing teams.
High attention to detail.
Comprehensive understanding of various media channels, including video, search and social, allowing you to speak to media in a broader sense.
Exceptional leadership skills to effectively represent and champion the Programmatic team within the organization.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities to drive innovative solutions for clients’ challenges.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and tasks efficiently.
Compensation The compensation for this role ranges from $130,000-$140,000 annually.
