Job Description
The Vice President Global Procurement LS&E is responsible for leading and transforming the global procurement function across the Life Sciences & Environment division, ensuring sustainable cost leadership, strategic supplier partnerships, and operational excellence across direct and indirect material categories. This executive role combines strategic foresight, global collaboration, and strong stakeholder engagement to drive value creation, innovation, and risk management across all procurement categories.
Responsibilities Global Procurement Strategy
Develop and execute a division-wide procurement strategy aligned with LS&E’s business objectives and global sustainability targets.
Ensure alignment with the corporate procurement governance and global sourcing roadmap.
Leverage Mann+Hummel’s global and regional procurement scale through proactive engagement with Global and Regional Commodity Managers.
Proactively engage in and drive global procurement initiatives and strategies across business units (LS&E and Transportation).
Cost Optimization & Value Creation
Drive cost efficiency programs, strategic sourcing initiatives, and value engineering projects to improve profitability and competitiveness.
Implement category management best practices and strengthen supplier performance management.
Leadership & Organizational Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a global procurement team with 3 regional direct reports, fostering collaboration and talent growth across geographies.
Strengthen procurement capabilities, ensure succession planning, and develop future leaders within the organization.
Actively engage in and contribute to the initiatives of the Corporate Procurement Leadership Team.
Supplier & Risk Management
Establish strategic partnerships with key suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance across all regions.
Anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring resilience and business continuity.
Sustainability & Compliance
Embed ESG, compliance, and ethical sourcing standards within all procurement processes.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance sustainability and circular economy initiatives.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with R&D, Operations, Finance, and Business Unit leaders of LS&E to integrate procurement into product lifecycle management and cost competitiveness.
Ensure procurement contributes strategically to innovation, speed-to-market initiatives.
Your Profile Education
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Experience
Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Procurement and Supply Chain roles, including at least 5 years in a senior global leadership position.
Experience in Life Sciences, Filtration, Automotive, or related manufacturing industries preferred.
Proven track record in optimizing processes and delivering results in a complex, matrixed organization.
Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate teams, lead by example, and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Vision: Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to develop and execute global product strategies that drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
