Job Title: Equipment & Tool Engineer
Duration: 12 months
Location: New Orleans, LA
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Responsibilities
Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts, and designs solutions for the Production System.
Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation, or technology recommendations, and system integration for equipment and tooling.
Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements.
Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, and prepares plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
Develops and implements workarounds and maintains the configuration of hardware, software, and documentation.
Performs studies and makes recommendations for the disposition of assets.
Required Experience
Experience in tool engineering or design engineering.
Tooling drawings.
Modeling in a 3D environment.
5 years of tool engineering experience.
Preferred Experience Great to see experience with software Catia and Creo.
Education Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor's) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master's +3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard for advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
