GBM Private – Global Fund Finance – Structuring and Trading Analyst – New York Job Description

The Global Fund Finance business within the Capital Solutions Group in Global Banking and Markets deploys the firm’s balance sheet across a full suite of structured financing and risk management solutions across the private markets ecosystems.

Responsibilities

Work with senior members of the deal team to structure and execute complex collateralized lending transactions.

Become an expert on the front‑to‑back deal lifecycle, including structuring terms, negotiating legal agreements, managing bookings, operational flows and risk metrics.

Analyze quantitative and qualitative factors influencing the credit quality of private companies.

Perform detailed relative value assessments to evaluate the risk‑reward spectrum of each deal, including calculating deal‑specific returns.

Draft detailed investment committee memos.

Analyze financial statements, credit reports, market trends and economic indicators to assess creditworthiness and recommend structural solutions to mitigate identified risks.

Stay informed on regulatory changes, economic developments and industry trends affecting private markets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in technical and quantitative roles involving risk analysis.

High attention to detail and strong analytical reasoning.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to work in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment and interact with clients, legal counsel and other teams.

Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage processes at scale.

Independent ownership and resource leverage to execute tasks efficiently.

Differentiating Qualities

Strong desire to build in‑depth expertise in Private Markets.

Structuring experience in secured/collateralized lending is highly valued.

Exposure to a broad range of credit strategies (direct lending, distressed, opportunistic) is a plus.

Focus on credit risk assessments for illiquid instruments is a plus.

Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York position is $110,000–$125,000.
