Location:
Providence, RI (On-site)
Compensation:
$150,000–$175,000 base + annual bonus
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Friday

What will your day look like?
Accounting Oversight:
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, job cost accounting, AP/AR, and payroll.
Month-End Close & Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely month-end closes and prepare comprehensive financial statements and analysis.
Project Financial Management:
Oversee job cost tracking, WIP reporting, and forecasting to support project and company profitability.
Process & Systems Improvement:
Evaluate existing accounting systems, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Partner with operations, estimating, and project management teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
External Relationships:
Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to maintain compliance and financial integrity.
Who are you?
Experienced Accounting Professional:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred.
Construction Background:
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including strong exposure to job cost accounting, project reporting, and WIP schedules.
Technical Expertise:
Proficient in construction-related accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation) and Excel.
Analytical & Detail-Oriented:
Strong problem-solving abilities with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
Collaborative Leader:
Effective communicator who enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams and supporting both strategic and operational goals.
