Position Practice Education Facilitator – Professional Development Department, permanent role.
1 × 37 hour post based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
1 × 22 hour post (reducing to 21 hours in 2026) based at Ailsa Hospital.
What You Will Do The role aims to enhance the quality of the practice learning experience and positively contribute to the future nursing and midwifery workforce. You will work closely with practice learning environments to support staff, practice supervisors, assessors and students; uphold NHS Ayrshire and Arran values; and collaborate with the Lead Practice Education Facilitator, the wider Professional Development team, NHS Education for Scotland, and local higher and further education institutions.
Knowledge, Training and Experience Required
Registered nurse or midwife with current NMC registration.
Degree level education.
Experience as a practice assessor, with proven track record in supporting, supervising and assessing nursing and midwifery students.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (or such licence from EU/EEA).
Hours and Working Pattern 1 × 37 hour post (Monday to Friday) plus 1 × 22 hour post (Monday to Friday). Post offered on a permanent basis.
