Performs all duties in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards. Develops program guides that address the audit objectives and provide a clear path for developing convincing findings and actionable recommendations. Develops and coordinates project plans, including assisting supervisor in developing budgets and timelines for upcoming projects. Communicates project status to supervisor and senior agency officials on a regular basis. Works with staff auditors to prepare clear, concise, and complete work papers. Plans, coordinates, conducts, and reports on audits. Exercises technical direction over the collection and analysis of all data; ensuring that evidence collected is sufficient and appropriate. Prepares and reviews staff audit reports, completes work papers, and provides written recommendations. Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen Tour of Duty: Flexible Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized Bargaining Unit Status: No Financial Disclosure Requirement: Required Financial Management Certification: This position requires DoD Financial Management Level 3 certification within 2 years in accordance with DoD Instruction 1300.26, DoD Directive 5118.03 and section 1599d of Title 10, U.S.C. Qualifications
Basic academic requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, or a related field (business administration, finance, public administration) with at least 24 semester hours in accounting. (May include up to 6 hours of business law.) OR Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of accounting experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, or professional work. Includes at least 24 semester hours in accounting or auditing courses and one of the following • Certificate as Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor, obtained through written examination. • Substantial coursework in accounting or auditing (e.g., 15 semester hours) with demonstrated professional competence in the field. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equips you for the duties of the position, equivalent to GS‑12 level. Experience must include coordination, coaching, problem solving, facilitation of communication, audit presentation, and conducting audits in accordance with GAGAS. Additional Information

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is committed to maintaining a safe, drug-free workplace. All DLA employees are required to refrain from illegal drug use on and off duty. DLA conducts pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random drug testing. Candidates tentatively selected for employment in testing designated positions will undergo a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Refusal to undergo testing or testing positive for illegal drugs will result in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and a six-month denial of employment with DLA from the date of the drug test. Employees in drug testing designated positions are subject to random drug testing. The DLA drug testing panel tests for the following substances: marijuana, cocaine, opiates, heroin, phencyclidine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, fentanyl, nor fentanyl, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), and opioids. Advisory: Use of cannabidiol (CBD) products may result in a positive drug test for marijuana.
