Responsibilities
Provides financial information services and ensures DLA financial management systems perform optimally to produce complete, accurate, reliable, and timely financial information.
Works with stakeholders on enhancements of data models to reflect major changes in business requirements, operations, and new datasets.
Designs, develops, synthesizes, and displays quantitative data using interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations (Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA, JAVA, D3, PowerBI, QLIK, Tableau, etc.).
Responsible for continuously improving processes and data integrity, institutionalizing innovative industry best practices and communicating lessons learned.
Provides data during annual audit reviews and determines valid data requirements to satisfy audits.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Travel may be required (Tour of Duty: Flexible).
Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive.
Background check must be favorable; unfavorably adjudicated checks will be grounds for removal.
Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized.
Bargaining Unit Status: Yes.
This position requires DoD Financial Management Level 2 certification within 2 years, as per DoD Instruction 1300.26, DoD Directive 5118.03 and section 1599d of Title 10, U.S.C. Once obtained, the candidate must maintain and improve proficiency.
Qualifications To qualify for a Financial Data Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support one (1) year of specialized experience directly related to this position.
Experience with SAP ERP systems, processes and data tables, extract, evaluate, analyze, and interpret data results using analytics tools, models, methods, and techniques.
Experience programming analytics tools such as ORACLE, SAS, SAS VIYA, Databricks or end‑user computing applications like MS Excel / MS Access for data mining; transformation and analysis (other analytical/database tools will be considered).
Understanding of applicable audit readiness end‑to‑end processes within a process management functional area – including manual and system processes and associated internal controls.
Experience may include paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through National Service programs.
