We are seeking
Payloads Design Engineers (Associate or Experienced)
to join Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) to support the Interiors Team of our 777X Team in
Everett, WA . The Payloads Organization is responsible for everything you see when you fly; the interiors, cargo compartments, exterior markings, associated systems and cabin safety all make up Payloads. This role spans the product lifecycle: supporting customer configuration development, supplier engagement, validating and verifying design requirements, integrating business needs, and supporting the product through production and certification. Position Responsibilities
Assist in developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements. Develop, maintain, and modify basic structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3‑D CAD tools and other design methods. Perform tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Assist with supplier development, test and production activities, and coordinate with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals. Support investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs. Work under general supervision. Basic Qualifications (Required Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Materials Sciences). 1+ of experience in aerospace engineering, design criteria, and engineering release processes. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Experience)
5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent. Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes. 2+ years of experience in program or project management, leading project and/or program proposals. Experience working in a cross‑functional team. Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences. Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development. Drug Free Workplace
