This role combines technical expertise in commercial HVAC system design with hands‑on problem‑solving. You will work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Purchasing.

Responsibilities
Product Design: Design, analyze, and optimize commercial HVAC systems and components related to assembly, operation, and performance.
Product Support: Support Manufacturing, Sales, Applications, and Field Support teams in the operation of the product (product life cycle).
Develop Solutions: Engage with critical/high priority Engineering projects. Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of changes.
Specification and Regulatory Analysis: Analyze test results and implement appropriate changes to ensure products meet technical and functional requirements.
Engineer to Order: Analyze custom requests and develop unique solutions to customers.
Ensure Accuracy: Provide clear, concise, and accurate information to all relevant internal and external customers.
Vendor Relations: Collaborate with vendors on the design of new and alternative technologies.
Continuous Improvement: Initiate continuous improvements for new and existing products, systems, and methods to improve performance, cost efficiency and reliability.
Documentation: Work with Sales, Production, and other engineering staff to help create and maintain sales documentation.
Continuous Education: Maintain a working understanding of applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI, etc.).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field)
Experience: 3+ Years of HVAC system or component design experience
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycle and components and problem‑solving skills.
Mechanical Skills: Strong hands‑on/mechanical aptitude.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent personal interaction skills.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
