Partner Engagement Officer – Miami, FL

Are you called to partner with donors in assisting 4KIDS to fulfill our mission of providing Hope, Homes, and Healing for children and families in crisis. The Partner Engagement Officer is an integral part of the overall development strategy of 4KIDS. This position is responsible for increasing charitable gifts generated by individual major donors and businesses. This is a highly visible position where energy, diplomacy, sophistication and an understanding of philanthropy and the 4KIDS mission, values, and programs are key factors to success.

Job Duties

Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects with a focus on securing gifts of $5,000 or more

Develop relationships and secure meetings with prospects and donors throughout Miami‑Dade County area to inform and/or update them on 4KIDS' activities and prime them for ongoing or new gifts

Support the strategic leadership, oversight and delivery of prospect management, tracking, research, identification, solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship

Utilize Virtuous system to manage donor and prospect relationships

Provides experience and leadership for all current and future campaigns

Assist in donor prospect strategy sessions

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of 501(c)3 and Bylaw requirements, IRS and governance agencies guidelines, and current trends related to philanthropy to ensure maximum opportunities presented for gift commitments

Assists with and attends all major special events for prospect cultivation and donor relationship building

Assists with smaller/intimate donor experiences with high level partners

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field

CFRE certification preferred

5‑7 years of major gift/campaign experience preferably for a non‑profit child welfare organization

Proven track record of soliciting and stewarding individual gifts

Ability to successfully implement donor tracking and cultivation techniques

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience with donor research

Interpersonal and relationship‑building skills that allow success in professional, social and networking opportunities

Ability to accurately assess donor interests and motivations, and work with them accordingly

Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple time‑sensitive tasks

Ability to work as a team player, combined with ability to work independently with limited supervision

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Spanish language fluency preferred

Highly energetic, self‑starting, creative individual who can express/recognize ideas, opportunities, and communicate goals and objectives clearly

Available evenings and weekends for scheduled events

Must have a valid Florida license and reliable transportation
