Controls Automation Engineering responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing state‑of‑the‑art automated manufacturing systems and control software applications. Project Management responsibilities involve leading multidisciplinary, cross‑functional teams to deliver project objectives within cost, time, and quality constraints. Scope of Position

Specific Job Duties – Controls Automation / Systems Engineering

Develop automation requirements for PLC, SCADA, MES controls hardware and software automation solutions for capital projects and product line expansions. Identify new technologies and automated systems to reduce manufacturing costs and improve efficiencies, presenting business case justifications. Develop data acquisition and performance measurement tools to analyze critical data and increase OEE through improved product cost, quality, and process capability. Implement isolated OT environments, configuring network topologies to secure manufacturing systems. Facilitate internal and external resources to ensure successful applications development and integration activities through manufacturing validation to established acceptance criteria. Provide technical and controls core competency support to manufacturing operations and engineering across multiple business units. Mentor other engineers in industry best practices, standards development, and troubleshooting methodologies. Specific Job Duties – Project Management

Partner with manufacturing sites to create and implement project schedules and budgets to meet overall program goals and capital programs. Manage project schedules to ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within budget, overseeing technical solutions and managing scope changes. Manage project communications and performance tracking metrics, disseminating information to all stakeholders. Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and resolve project issues, interfacing with internal and external customers and vendors. Follow standard processes and procedures to ensure project teams meet quality and delivery expectations. Establish leadership and team building skills to motivate and guide team members toward project objectives. Qualifications

Education:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent. Advanced degree desired. Special Skills:

Experienced Project Management with capital assets and systems deployment; PMI certification a plus. Self‑directed individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and project management skills within a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team setting. Lean Six Sigma Process Excellence tools proficiency desirable. Specialized Training:

Knowledge of industry regulations, software development life cycle methodologies, OT network infrastructures, statistical analysis, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, SQL, PI Historian, and industry‑leading PLC, HMI, and MES platforms. Experience:

Minimum 12 years in development, integration, and project management of automated high‑volume low‑cost manufacturing and/or process control systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motion control, robotics, machine vision, MES, and OEE systems software. Experience with Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device manufacturing emphasizing Process and Packaging equipment design and operation, OEE improvements, project identification and execution in aseptic manufacturing environments highly desired. Strong background with sterile GMP guidelines, EU standards, data integrity regulations, and GAMP5 validation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, PBI, CAD software.
