Tarkett in Dalton has an opportunity for a Field Service Representative. Objectives for Technical Services and Field Services include supporting Tarkett as the leader in the flooring industry; providing excellent customer service; providing excellent technical sales support; providing consistent, timely, and accurate documentation. The position will involve work with resilient products such as LVT, sheet vinyl, VCT, vinyl stair treads, rubber tile, and wall base.

Location: Based out of Southern California, Las Vegas, or Texas.

Job Responsibilities

Provide technical support via in-person contact, telephone, and e‑mail communications (product, installation, site conditions, maintenance).

Significant amount of troubleshooting and problem solving.

Conduct claim inspections and technical evaluations in the field, traveling to jobsites throughout the western United States and Western Canada, and occasionally outside North America.

Submit detailed reports within 48 hours, including key observations, photographs, and evidence.

Product installation of soft surface materials (carpet tile, Powerbond, broadloom) for trade shows (e.g., NeoCon), mock‑ups, and field testing; produce tip sheet videos.

Conduct training sessions and seminars, including hands‑on installation demonstrations and presentations.

Conduct Powerbond and broadloom certification tests (written and practical exam) that are pass or fail for students.

Manage logistics of certifications and submit paperwork to the corporate office for certification of students who pass.

Travel 50%–75% of the time with Tarkett account executives on customer visits to provide technical support on sales calls.

Experience and Skills

Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Effective communication skills. Bilingual not required but preferred.

Flooring installation experience, including experience with Powerbond, woven, and tufted broadloom.

Professional, respectful, honest, reliable, and strong work ethic.

Ability to travel.
