Role Overview We are seeking a
Senior Director of Sales
to join our growing team in Austin, Texas. This role will own the full sales cycle—from pitch through close—while serving as a visible presence at industry events and with client stakeholders. You will be a trusted partner to leading eCom brands, leveraging your advertising and growth expertise to expand WorkMagic’s footprint.
What You’ll Do
Drive new business by managing the end‑to‑end sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and close.
Build and expand strong relationships with eCommerce brands, agencies, and industry leaders.
Represent WorkMagic at regional eCommerce and marketing events, panels, and networking opportunities.
Collaborate with marketing, partnerships, and product teams to ensure successful client onboarding and long‑term growth.
Serve as a
player‑coach —mentoring junior sales team members while continuing to close your own deals.
What We’re Looking For
Proven track record:
4+ years [and at least the past 2 years] in a quota‑carrying sales role with consistent success achieving or exceeding targets in generating new mid‑market and/or enterprise deals.
Proven experience selling digital advertising or marketing technology.
Ideally, you’ve:
Sold ads at major platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest, YouTube, Amazon, or leading CTV / programmatic channels; or
Sold adtech or measurement solutions (e.g., attribution, incrementality, analytics, or data platforms) to performance‑driven marketers; or
Sold marketing or media‑buying services at a top advertising or performance agency.
Measurement experience preferred:
Familiarity with attribution, incrementality testing, MMM, or marketing analytics tools.
eCommerce network:
Established connections with DTC, retail, and consumer brands.
Event presence:
Comfort representing a company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client‑facing events.
Leadership capacity:
Experience as a player‑coach or in building/mentoring sales teams is a plus.
