Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Finance of HMFP, the Senior Financial Analyst prepares pro‑forma and financial budget statements to support strategic planning for HMFP Corporate and its Departments. The role synthesizes and analyzes financial data, recommends actions, develops annual budgets, monitors results, and manages revenue forecasting, budget system maintenance, and funds flow invoicing between HMFP and BIDMC.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist in the annual operating budget cycle for HMFP and affiliates, working with clinical Department staff to create detailed revenue and expense budgets by physician.
Prepare monthly Departmental budget variance analyses and analyze causes of major variances for review with the Director of Finance and other stakeholders.
Generate financial analysis and pro‑forma statements to support strategic planning efforts of HMFP Corporate and Departments.
Conduct performance, variance and financial analyses; create/update monthly reports including financial performance, salary and FTE variance analyses, budget and revenue forecasting, and net patient service revenue reserve calculations.
Assist in transitioning to new financial reporting and budgeting systems, including data mapping, report development, testing and validation.
Document and report the results of the Funds Flow process with BIDMC; consolidate and track changes, support the Director of Finance in streamlining the process and presenting results to senior management on a yearly and monthly basis.
Update systems with budget/actual data between Oracle Hyperion, EPICOR general ledger, and workforce planning systems.
Assist in the maintenance and design of the Oracle Hyperion budget system and implement future enhancements.
Meet aggressive deadlines (monthly close/reporting, monthly forecast, annual budget) and perform ad‑hoc accounting, budget and finance projects as assigned.
Serve as a knowledge expert for Financial Analysts, providing guidance on routine issues and orienting new personnel.
Manipulate large financial data sets into concise actionable reports and work with the Director of Finance to develop Excel modeling tools for deeper insight.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Business Administration, Finance or Healthcare Administration preferred.
3–5 years of related analytical work experience.
Highly detail oriented with strong analytical, communication, and computer skills; quick learner of new systems and analytical tools.
Demonstrated professionalism and teamwork ability.
Advanced skills in financial reporting and budgeting applications (Oracle Hyperion preferred).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other web‑based applications.
Preferred Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in the health‑care industry.

Pay Range $63,336.00 – $85,242.00 USD
