Director of Investor Relations - Software
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Investor Relations will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the company's relationship with shareholders, potential investors, and the financial analyst community. This is a highly visible, strategic role that requires a blend of exceptional financial knowledge, communication skills, and industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities
IR Strategy & Execution: Develop and drive a best-in-class investor relations program that clearly and consistently articulates the company's strategy, financial performance, and long-term growth story to the investment community.
Quarterly Reporting: Lead the end-to-end quarterly earnings process, including preparation of earnings releases, conference call scripts, Q&A documents, and investor presentations.
Investor Engagement: Proactively engage with institutional investors and sell-side research analysts through roadshows, conferences, site visits, and one-on-one meetings. Manage all inbound investor and analyst inquiries.
Market & Competitive Intelligence: Track, analyze, and report on market trends, competitor performance, and investment community sentiment. Provide actionable feedback to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors.
Messaging & Content: Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Marketing teams to ensure consistency and compliance in all external and internal communications.
Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all SEC, stock exchange (NYSE/NASDAQ), and Regulation Fair Disclosure requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Assist the executive team in preparing for Board meetings and other external engagements by providing relevant capital markets analysis.
Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in Investor Relations (agency or in-house), Equity Research, Investment Banking.
Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and key SaaS/software metrics.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is highly desirable.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex financial and technical concepts into a clear, compelling investment narrative.
Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of SEC and stock exchange rules and regulations.
Location Flexibility: Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment from either our New York or San Francisco office and willingness to travel for investor engagement (approximately 25-40%).
