Electrical Project Manager
Position Summary
The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Electrical Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients, general contractors, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of electrical project management including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and cost control.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging in size from small tenant improvements to large-scale industrial builds.
Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with design intent and code requirements.
Coordinate closely with superintendents, foremen, and field personnel to ensure work is executed safely and efficiently.
Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
Prepare RFIs, change orders, submittals, and other project documentation.
Conduct project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Monitor labor productivity, job costing, and material usage to maintain profitability.
Ensure all safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements are met or exceeded.
Support preconstruction efforts, including takeoffs, value engineering, and design‑assist input.
Manage project closeout, including punch lists, O&M manuals, and as‑built documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in electrical project management within commercial or industrial construction.
Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical systems, and construction practices.
Proficiency with estimating and project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, MS Project).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Master or Journeyman Electrician License (preferred but not required).
