$56,782 - $63,345 per year

Job Summary Clinical Trial Accounting-related area focused on reimbursement, grant management, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reimbursements.

Handle grants and awards, recharge, and reconcile accounts for clinical trials.

Assist with budget planning and execution, including fiscal resource allocation and commitment tracking.

Prepare daily, monthly, annual, and project‑end analysis and reports on financial activity.

Perform financial account reconciliations, statement analysis, and transaction research.

Support annual audit workpapers and quarterly financial statement workpapers.

Maintain and update financial models and analysis.

Ensure proper classification and recording of transactions, creating new accounts as needed.

Process transfer and appropriation charges, balance, and close accounts.

Conduct vendor/account research, troubleshoot issues, and provide instruction to stakeholders.

Collaborate with Department and Research Administrator on financial grant management.

Prepare grant proposals, administer budgets, coordinate IRB/IACUC and other regulatory submissions.

Build relationships with faculty, staff, and funders to advise on research policies and procedures.

Monitor commitments and expenditures for compliance with grant agency guidelines.

Verify accurate setup of sponsored project accounts.

Identify data sources, complete special financial projects, and perform general office support activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field; OR 2 years financial administration work experience; OR equivalent combination.

2 years experience in financial, budgeting, and/or preparing account reconciliations or financial statements along with financial analysis.

Minimum Competencies

Intermediate knowledge of Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Clinical Trials Experience.
