We are partnering with a nonprofit in the Washington DC area to hire an Administrative Assistant for a temporary opportunity of 1+ months, with the potential to extend.
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join a collaborative, supportive team. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent organizational abilities, and thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment.
Location:
Washington, DC
Pay:
$21-$24 per hour
Schedule:
5 days onsite
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day administrative support to various departments and team members
Manage scheduling, calendar coordination, and meeting logistics
Prepare, proofread, and format documents, reports, and presentations
Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner
Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems
Order office supplies and assist with inventory management
Support special projects and assist with ad hoc tasks as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of administrative or office support experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Professional demeanor and a team-oriented mindset
