Responsibilities
Performs a variety of preventative maintenance work on all District facilities, including equipment fixtures and systems. May operate and maintain equipment as authorized and necessary to accomplish primary responsibilities. Performs routine preventative maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc. Performing diagnosis, repair and installation work in existing and new facilities. Monitoring facility maintenance contractors performing work on District property to ensure performance, safety and quality. May assist in layout, construction and repair of a variety of District facility structures such as walls, partitions, doors, floors, ceiling tiles or roof. Assists in layout of equipment installation. Installing and maintaining bus stop signs and shelters. Coordinating daily work schedules with other facility maintenance workers to assure safety and work productivity. Completing necessary reports on materials used and time spent on repairs of various pieces of equipment and facilities. Maintaining an effective working relationship with LTD staff, customers, vendors, and the public. Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders with general direction. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Must be able to work independently. Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements
Maintain flexibility in the work schedule to meet the demands of the job, including handling evening and weekend emergency calls. Use a laptop in a LAN environment, including basic knowledge in e‑mail, word processing, and spreadsheets. Ability to read labels, directions, work orders, etc. Ability to be on‑call during weekends as required. Ability to pass a physical requirement test. Must possess a valid Oregon driver's license with record acceptable to the District's insurance carrier. Education and Experience
High school graduate or equivalent. Two years of technical trade schooling, an apprenticeship, or its equivalent in at least one skilled trade, with ongoing training in facility maintenance. Building Operator Certification Level 1 preferred. Electrical knowledge and experience preferred. Physical Demands For This Position Include The Ability To
Sit and operate a vehicle for up to 1 hour. Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Bend, squat, kneel, climb on a ladder. How to Apply
