Location: Saint Paul, MN.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM start.
Wage: $90,000–$100,000/yr., depending on experience.

Responsibilities of the welding engineer
Develop, qualify, and optimize welding processes and procedures (WPS, PQR, WQTR)
Provide engineering support to fabrication and assembly teams using MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) processes
Partner with design, production, and quality teams to improve weld quality and reduce defects
Troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues; lead corrective action efforts
Support welder training, equipment selection, and robotic / automation initiatives
Ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and company standards
Qualifications of the welding engineer
Bachelor’s degree in Welding, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent experience)
3-7+ years of welding engineering experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
Strong knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes and related metallurgy
Familiarity with AWS, ASME, and other industry standards
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
