Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Retirement Benefits Analyst in Parsippany, NJ. Summary: We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Retirement to join our Total Rewards team. This role is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration, compliance, and strategic support of the company’s retirement programs, including defined contribution and defined benefit plans. You will ensure operational accuracy, partner with vendors to deliver exceptional service, and provide expert guidance to HR partners and employees. This position also plays a key role in plan governance, communications, and continuous process improvement.
Pay Range $100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Administer daily operations of retirement programs (401(k), pension, and non‑qualified plans), including contribution reconciliations, loan processing, hardship withdrawals, and defined benefit contributions
Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations; support audits, Form 5500 filings, and nondiscrimination testing
Maintain plan documentation and participant notices in collaboration with Legal and external counsel
Partner with internal teams and vendors to implement regulatory and plan design changes
Prepare monthly reports for Accounting and assist with benefit accruals and true‑up payments
Lead retiree open enrollment communications and elections
Serve as primary contact for recordkeepers, trustees, actuaries, and consultants
Review vendor reports, reconciliations, and participant data for accuracy
Support retirement committee meetings with materials, data summaries, and minutes
Provide expert guidance on plan provisions, eligibility, and retirement readiness; respond to escalated employee inquiries
Analyze plan metrics and prepare dashboards for leadership; identify trends and recommend enhancements
Drive process improvements and participate in special projects such as plan mergers, system upgrades, or vendor transitions
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related field
5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration or benefits analysis within a corporate HR environment
Experience managing both defined benefit and defined contribution plans strongly preferred
Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; advanced proficiency in Excel
Ability to interpret plan documents and communicate complex information clearly
HRIS experience (Workday preferred); database skills a plus
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Collaborative mindset with strong customer service orientation
Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed
