Assistant Scientist – Part‑time
University of Miami / UHealth Dermatology is seeking a Part‑time Assistant Scientist to support research in dermatology. The role contributes to basic and applied research, prepares manuscripts, and writes extramural grant proposals.
Core Responsibilities Conduct experiments and analyze data for assigned research projects. Collaborate with senior staff to publish findings in refereed journals. Write and revise scientific manuscripts, technical reports, and patent preparations. Prepare and submit extramural grant proposals and manage proposal documents. Maintain accurate experimental records and provide access to data for management staff. Request or acquire equipment and supplies for assigned projects.
Qualifications Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field. Minimum 1 year of relevant research experience. Strong skills in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
