The Catering Sales Manager will cultivate new volume accounts while strengthening relationships with assigned existing accounts to drive business growth. Enhance the brand's presence and reputation within the local community across multiple hotel properties.
HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and translate them into detailed, executable plans that align with hotel standards and brand vision.
Manage the entire Catering event lifecycle — from initial inquiry, contract turnover, and pre-event planning to on-site execution and post-event follow-up.
Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and hotel departments, ensuring clear communication, seamless coordination, and exceptional service delivery.
Handle and follow up on catering and small meeting inquiries, qualifying business, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and securing signed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and deposits.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business and referrals, serving as a trusted advisor and ambassador for the hotel brand.
Prospect for new catering business through networking, community events, client visits, and strategic partnerships.
Conduct pre-convention meetings, site visits, and event walkthroughs to ensure alignment of all details and expectations.
Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to optimize revenue through upselling, creative event solutions, and efficient space management.
Present potential business to evaluate demand mix, space utilization, and profitability.
Monitor and manage room blocks, catering revenue, and contract fulfillment to ensure business goals are met or exceeded.
Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement, cost control, and guest satisfaction enhancement.
Accurately maintain client records, contracts, and BEOs within event management and CRM software systems.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of experience in catering sales, convention services, or event management within a hotel or hospitality setting.
Demonstrated success managing multiple events and client accounts simultaneously.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and client satisfaction targets.
Familiarity with event management software, hotel PMS systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for client visits and off-site events.
