JOB SUMMARY The Manufacturing Manager will assist the VP of Manufacturing in leading the primary manufacturing processes to ensure on‑time delivery of customer parts according to their requirements. The role focuses on measurably improving throughput on the production floor, achieving profitability, maintaining safety and quality standards, and leading people and process development with a Lean approach.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze & execute production processes, labor costs and procedures to maximize quality and efficiency while reducing labor costs.
Develop manufacturing plan strategies and establish lean procedures to maintain high standards of operations, ensuring products meet customer and company quality standards.
Coordinate closely with purchasing to meet production and shipping/packaging specifications and goals.
Lead and execute the PUSH/PULL production activities to ensure on‑time delivery, managing, reporting, and tracking backlog.
Collaborate with the Master Scheduler to develop production schedules that optimize throughput, maintain cost‑effective inventory, and design a smooth process flow while meeting shipment dates.
Coordinate expedited management of outside service processing.
Provide support to supervisors, leads, and production staff to support plant operations and corporate goals.
In conjunction with the Quality Director, ensure efficient staging and flow of parts in and out of inspection areas.
Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of operations including cost, throughput, safety, security, and quality.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
U.S. citizenship required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred (in applicable field), or equivalent experience in lieu.
5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, complex welding and/or automation.
3+ years of progressive leadership experience.
Experience with manufacturing ERP systems; Epicor preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Work will be performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise as well as the shop floor. The role includes both sedentary work at a computer and phone, and active engagement on the shop floor in training and direct work demonstrations. Standing and grasping are occasional demands. Typing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are constant demands. Travel to multiple sites up to 50% of the time.
