About the Position We are seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our Labor and Delivery (L&D) Unit at Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital. Recognized as a premier hospital for delivering more than 4,000 babies each year, our state‑of‑the‑art L&D unit combines exceptional comfort with the latest medical technology.
Sibley’s Maternal‑Fetal Medicine Program provides specialized expertise in high‑risk pregnancies, offering comprehensive genetic consultation, screening, testing, and interpretation of results.
What You Will Do
Lead a large multidisciplinary team within one of the world’s premier, integrated health systems.
Ensure an exceptional birthing experience trusted by parents‑to‑be for generations.
Provide leadership and direction in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and excellence in patient care.
Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator, Patient Safety Nurse, and Team Leads for quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Who Should Apply
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
At least three (3) years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery required; five (5) years preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in Labor and Delivery. Proven leadership in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, high‑acuity L&D setting strongly preferred.
Experience in a Magnet‑designated facility preferred.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia required.
Current CPR Certification required.

Salary Range Minimum $61.47 per hour – Maximum $95.27 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
