The salary range for

Court Interpreter 1

is $69,504.36 to $98,696.16 for Schedule A, and $69,504.36 to $93,761.36 for Schedule B. For

Court Interpreter 2 , the range is $73,674.60 to $111,206.94 for Schedule A, and $73,674.60 to $105,646.59 for Schedule B. Newly hired individuals typically start at the minimum of the range. Current employees promoted or advanced will receive a 5% salary increase, not exceeding the maximum of the range. Employees hired before June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A; those hired on or after are Schedule B. Opportunity for growth is strong within the Judiciary. REMOTE WORK:

The Judiciary offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing up to 2 days of remote work outside Judiciary buildings, requiring high-speed internet at home. The Camden Vicinage seeks a detail-oriented professional for the role of Court Interpreter. Under supervision, the candidate must interpret in sight, consecutive, and simultaneous modes in court and virtual proceedings, quasi-judicial hearings, dispute resolution events, weddings, and other court-related events, in person or via telecommunication. Responsibilities include producing translations of official documents, forms, notices, signs, and correspondence, as well as data entry and participating in training to develop interpreting skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity for bilingual candidates committed to making a difference. Strong interpersonal skills and effective collaboration with all Judiciary levels are essential.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be approved by the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), having passed relevant exams or holding Court Interpreter Certification from the U.S. Courts. Prior to translating documents, passing an AOC translation test is required.

A valid NJ driver’s license is required if vehicle operation is necessary.

US citizenship is not required; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. under DHS/USCIS regulations.

Residency Law:
