Family Medicine Clinician (NP/PA)
Location Sacramento (Arden), CA 95825
Pay Range Base: $143,268.00/hr – $181,192.00/hr (actual pay based on experience)
Essential Functions
Responsible for evaluating patients and providing primary care.
Accurate and timely documentation necessary for patient care and billing.
Assuring quality medical care delivered to all patients.
Understanding and maintaining Quality Improvement Program indicators as directed by medical department leadership.
Understanding and complying with the Standards of Care and policies for the medical clinic.
Ensuring appropriate medical follow‑up of patients and specialty referrals per clinic policies.
Complying with all applicable state and local laws, regulations, and policies.
Monitoring systems for compliance and communicating issues to medical leadership with corrective action.
Following policies and procedures for medical provider scheduling, schedule changes, template development, etc., in coordination with the Practice Manager.
Assisting other medical and general staff in developing and designing new clinical services as needed.
Attending all appropriate meetings as directed by medical leadership.
Additional Duties
Participating in work groups, teams, task forces, and committees to support ongoing clinic functions.
Facilitating communication and coordination within the clinic and with outside agencies.
Ordering or directing ordering of drugs, solutions, and equipment; maintaining accurate controls and records for controlled medications.
Ensuring clinic staff observes universal precautions.
Reporting suspected abuse (child, adult, elder, or dependent) as required by state law.
Minimum Requirements
Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
Fully licensed to practice in California (licenses must remain current, valid, and in good standing).
Possess a DEA certificate.
Current BLS certification.
Preferred Background
Pediatric and prenatal experience.
Several years of experience in an FQHC or community health center.
Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Demonstrated person‑centered approach and familiarity with trauma‑informed systems and restorative practices.
