Position Summary
Under general supervision of Manager of Breast Imaging, the Mammography technologist provides mammographic technical skills to the Department mission. Duties include working as a technologist and performing duties in other areas and modalities as necessary. The technologist performs mammography exams for the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury to patients of all ages.

Education and Training Requires knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography and the operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment including mammography. Generally acquired through the completion of two years post‑high school training in an approved school of radiologic technology.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required MSRT/ARRT (M) required.
State radiology/mammography license required and all applicable radiology/mammography education requirements.
Job Requirements The mammographer requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, address apprehensions, instruct students, and provide technical supervision to staff technologists.
