Strategic Operations Management
Develop and implement streamlined workflows across purchasing, fabrication, and installation
Align operational practices with company growth and profitability goals
Forecast capacity, workload, and resource allocation for future projects
Purchasing & Supply Chain Oversight
Manage procurement of raw materials, tools, and subcontractor services
Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing agreements
Maintain inventory systems to reduce waste and manage lead times
Supervise production operations, ensuring adherence to safety and design specifications Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices Lead fabrication managers, welders, and technicians to maintain productivity and quality Installation & Field Coordination
Schedule field crews and manage installation logistics
Ensure projects meet customer expectations and comply with safety protocols
Provide support and problem-solving to field supervisors during active installations
Mentor and develop managers and staff across departments Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence Conduct performance evaluations and identify areas for training Build and oversee departmental budgets Monitor and report on KPIs (cost control, quality, safety, efficiency) Present insights and performance metrics to executive leadership Qualifications
Experience:
7–10+ years of experience in operations management within construction, fabrication, or manufacturing
Prior exposure to shade structures, metal fabrication, or canopy systems preferred
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Skills:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Solid understanding of supply chain, production, and field operations
Financial acumen and performance-driven mindset
Proficiency with ERP/project management systems and Microsoft Office
Safety-first mentality and quality control commitment
