Experienced Clinical Nurse - Main Operating Room - Evening Shift Schedule Two 12-hour shifts: 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and Two 8-hour shifts: 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. with days off TBD based on institutional needs. The first 4-6 months will include Operating Room Orientation, Monday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Summary The primary purpose of the Clinical Nurse in the Main Operating Room is to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures, while supporting the surgical team and maintaining a sterile environment.

Ideal Candidate The Clinical Nurse in the Operating Room must have at least one year of nursing experience in the Operating Room.

Hourly breakdown of salary range Minimum $32.69 – Midpoint $48.56 – Maximum $64.42

Perform other duties as assigned Education Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.

Experience Preferred: At least one year of Operating Room registered nursing experience.

Licenses and Certifications

Required: RN – Registered Nurse – State Licensure; Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license; Upon Hire and

Required: ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support; Upon Hire and

Required: PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (if working in Nursing Post Anesthesia Care Unit); Upon Hire

Preferred: OCN – Oncology Nurse Certification; Upon Hire

Preferred: Certification in specialty practice area; Upon Hire

Other Requirements All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
