Main Purpose of the Job This position will be responsible for providing direct financial planning and analysis support across one of Biosynth’s business divisions at our PE-backed company. The role will support multiple international sites. Acting as the key point of contact for the commercial and operational teams, this person will play a critical role in driving strategic vision, supporting day-to-day financial operations, and contributing to long-term projects that shape the future of the business.

Responsibilities

Establish a strong working relationship with the business unit’s commercial and operational teams, driving regular financial reporting and analysis cycles.

Develop a deep understanding of customer and product profitability.

Partner with financial accounting and commercial teams to deliver month-end reporting packages, providing in-depth insights into performance drivers and KPIs.

Monitor performance indicators, highlight trends, analyse variances, and support corrective actions.

Lead the regular forecasting and budgeting process for the business unit, ensuring the Group Finance team has a clear understanding of divisional performance and trajectory.

Provide a robust financial challenge during planning and review cycles.

Manage the capital expenditure (CapEx) process in collaboration with operational teams.

Support strategic business planning and decision-making.

Contribute to the development of the SAP ecosystem alongside the IS team to improve reporting speed and accuracy.

Collaborate with the wider FP&A team to enhance data extraction, analysis, and offline reporting tools.

Support the business in managing and optimising inventory levels and overall working capital.

Champion finance across the organisation, ensuring high-quality financial insight and trusted partnership with business leaders.

Consistency and accuracy of all key business planning deliverables.

Accurate gross margin reporting to identify commercial opportunities and improve profitability.

Focused management of P&L efficiency and cash conversion rates.

Timely monthly financial reporting, half-year forecast, and annual budget cycles.

Monthly cash flow forecasting.

University degree in Business and/or Accounting.

5+ years’ experience in an FP&A or group finance environment.

Experience working in a complex, international, divisional business structure.

Strong analytical capability with experience in ERP data mining.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven experience engaging senior management.

Proficiency with SAP and comfort working with large data sets.

Positive, proactive attitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of group business processes.

Power BI or other data visualisation tool experience.

Experience in a private equity–backed environment.

Industry experience within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals, or related manufacturing sectors.

Working Model This role is offered on a hybrid basis (2-3 days a week on site), with some travel required to other Biosynth sites as needed.
