Overview
Join JLL as a Senior Occupancy Planner to deliver occupancy and space solutions that support our clients’ corporate real‑estate strategies. You will advise on options within our workplace programs and portfolio strategy, reporting to a Regional Planning Lead and interacting with senior business leaders and the Real Estate team. Based in Charlotte, NC; occasional travel to the NC, SC region is required. Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with end‑user customers to understand their business needs, promote workplace solutions and concepts, and resolve workplace issues. Advocate for clients and partner with them to understand and support their real‑estate goals. Answer questions about the workplace program, space, occupancy and allocations for your assigned lines of business, creating solutions and resolving requests. Collaborate with teammates across Occupancy Planning, Market Planning, Relocation Management, and Project Management to support strategic migration schedules and tactical moves. Re‑organize daily time to support a dynamic workload and client requests. Apply occupancy and space expertise: use space‑utilization methods, reconcile data, track seat demand, develop stacking, block, allocation and adjacency plans using AutoCAD, PowerPoint and Excel. Support project types at existing and new properties: co‑locations, scenario planning, flexible workspace, renovations and densification, restacking and team consolidations. Conduct feasibility reviews and develop solutions using data, analytical insights and problem‑solving skills to present scenarios to stakeholders. Track and manage occupancy data, gather space and adjacency requirements, fulfill space requests and move work orders to ensure timely completion and regulatory compliance. Use workplace analytics: report utilization, building and occupant data via dashboards, manage space allocations and data accuracy using FM:Systems Space, perform physical audits as required. Qualifications
5+ years experience in occupancy or space planning for corporate clients, or interior office planning, office renovations, furniture planning, project management, or related functions in a corporate real‑estate setting. Strong knowledge of occupancy utilization, workplace strategy, office design principles and emerging trends such as mobile or collaborative workplaces; ability to read and interpret floor plans. Commercial interiors space‑planning skills using AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to consolidate data and floor plans into client presentations. Critical thinking and the ability to tell a story through data. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOK‑up, cell calculations). Proficiency in CAFM/IWMS (e.g., FMS, Manhattan, Tririga, Archibus) and graphic tools (Adobe, AutoCAD). Excellent written and spoken communication skills with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to interact with executive‑level external and internal clients, and the capacity to ask the right questions to understand complex client needs. Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills, high initiative, resourcefulness and the ability to work independently and manage time to meet deadlines. Change‑management experience is a plus.
