Position Overview We are seeking a talented Designer or Architect to join our team on a part time basis. The ideal candidate will have strong design sensibilities for both interior and exterior environments, a solid understanding of construction principles, and the ability to bring ideas to life through 3D visualization and detailed renderings.

This role could be filled by one multi-disciplinary designer or split into two positions (one focused on design, one on architecture) depending on candidate skill sets.

Responsibilities

Develop creative design concepts for both interior and exterior projects

Produce 3D models, renderings, and elevations to help clients visualize their space

Prepare presentation drawings, layouts, and design boards for client review

Collaborate with the Stratum Builders team to align design intent with construction feasibility

Revise plans and models based on client and team feedback

(If licensed) Prepare or oversee architectural drawings and documentation as required

Maintain consistent communication and timely project updates

Qualifications

Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field

Licensed Architect or Designer preferred, but not required

Proficiency in 3D design and rendering software such as SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Enscape, or similar

Strong design and visualization skills with an eye for proportion, detail, and materials

Experience with construction drawings and elevations

Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple projects

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Experience

Residential and commercial project experience

Knowledge of local building codes and permitting (a plus)

Familiarity with design build workflows
