Job Summary:
Under the guidance of Lead Program Coordinator and overall supervision of the IPE Director, the Program Coordinator supports the coordination and implementation of Interprofessional Education (IPE) courses and related program activities. This role collaborates closely with the Lebanon campus Course Co‑Director and other members of the IPE support team to assist in the development, scheduling, and monitoring of IPE course modules. The Program Coordinator helps ensure smooth delivery of IPE sessions by managing logistics, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and supporting day‑to‑day program operations across campus locations.
While based in Oregon, this role has significant in‑person responsibilities and requires regular on‑site presence at any/all WesternU campus buildings in Lebanon, OR. During the IPE academic semesters, the position will be approximately 60% in‑person and 40% remote, with the in‑person work focused on directly supporting students, faculty, and staff with related IPE activities. Outside of the academic semesters, the role is expected to shift to a 50/50 split between in‑person and remote work, though in‑person engagement will remain an essential component throughout the year.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom), and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas or similar).
Ability and willingness to learn new digital platforms and software tools quickly.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive, professional relationships with faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to follow through on assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Capable of performing on‑campus duties, including walking between locations and supporting in‑person activities.
Ability to receive constructive feedback in a positive and professional manner, and to apply it for continuous learning and professional growth.
Commitment to working for an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in education, healthcare, communication, or a related field.
Experience & Training
Prior experience in an academic, healthcare, or educational setting preferred.
Experience in customer service, administrative support, or data entry/management is desirable.
Familiarity with coordination of events, programs, or logistics is a plus.
