Job Summary
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design recommendation, project implementation, and ongoing management of Vomela’s enterprise systems with a strong emphasis on Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, and Citrix administration. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of core infrastructure supporting over 20 locations across North America. The position demands a self‑motivated engineer skilled in hybrid‑cloud architectures, identity management, virtualization, application endpoint and system security, and end‑user compute management and support. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem‑solver who thrives in complex enterprise environments and values both operational excellence and documentation discipline. This is an in‑person, full‑time position.
Responsibilities Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID Management
Administer Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Copilot, as well as application integration and SSO.
Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) hybrid identity integrations, conditional access policies, and MFA enforcement.
Monitor and remediate Azure AD Connect and Entra Connect sync issues.
Support and secure Intune/Endpoint Manager for device configuration, compliance, and application delivery.
Develop and enforce role‑based access controls (RBAC) and governance across M365 workloads.
Citrix Administration
Architect, manage, and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Cloud, and associated StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, and VDAs.
Optimize performance, user profiles, and application delivery.
Integrate Citrix authentication with Entra ID and Azure MFA.
Troubleshoot Citrix session issues and maintain high availability of Citrix infrastructure.
Core Infrastructure and Systems
Maintain Dell VxRail, VMware, and Nutanix environments.
Manage Windows Server infrastructure including AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Support hybrid workloads in Azure and on‑prem datacenters.
Ensure system security using SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, and related endpoint protection in cooperation with the security team.
Backup, DR, and Compliance
Test and document DR and Business Continuity procedures regularly.
Support compliance frameworks including HIPAA, SOC2 Type II and ISO 27001.
M&A and Strategic Projects
Lead IT integration efforts for newly acquired organizations, focusing on M365/Azure consolidation and Citrix access enablement.
Collaborate with leadership to design scalable, secure hybrid‑cloud architectures.
Qualifications Professional Expertise
Proven experience managing Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra in an enterprise hybrid environment.
Hands‑on Citrix architecture and administration experience.
Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware/Nutanix platforms.
Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM principles and change control processes.
Hands on experience with audit, controls, and compliance for HIPAA, SOC2 Type II, NIST 800 53, and ISO 27001.
Personal Skills
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Analytical and methodical and collaborative troubleshooting ability.
Comfortable managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred
PowerShell scripting for automation.
Experience integrating Citrix with Azure AD or Entra.
Understanding of compliance controls and secure identity management.
