HR Coordinator/ Generalist Track (Hybrid) – Chattanooga, TN

Reports to: HR Director

Work Format: Hybrid (Tuesdays and Thursdays in office each week)

FLSA: Full-time, Non-Exempt

About the Role We’re looking for an organized, proactive HR Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who loves making things run smoothly—keeping HR processes efficient, accurate, and employee-focused. You’ll partner closely with our HR Director to support all areas of HR, from onboarding and benefits to HRIS administration and compliance projects.

What You’ll Do

Maintain employee records and data integrity in our HRIS.

Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a seamless employee experience.

Process employee changes (promotions, transfers, terminations, etc.).

Support benefits administration—enrollments, terminations, and employee questions.

Assist with payroll data review and updates as needed.

Recruitment Support

Post open positions, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates.

Manage background checks, references, and pre-hire documentation.

Partner with the HR Director on recruiting logistics and candidate experience.

Compliance & Reporting

Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Prepare HR reports and metrics (headcount, turnover, etc.).

Assist with audits and policy documentation.

Employee Experience

Be a trusted point of contact for day-to-day employee inquiries.

Coordinate engagement events, recognition programs, and training logistics.

Contribute to HR initiatives and continuous-improvement projects.

What You Bring

1–3 years of experience in HR support, coordination, or administration.

Working knowledge of HR processes and systems (HRIS, ATS, benefits platforms).

Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Discretion and professionalism with sensitive information.

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Bonus: Exposure to payroll processing, HR compliance, or reporting analytics.
