SQL Server Database Administrator – Trenton, NJ – Local Candidates Only
Our client, Amtex Enterprises, is seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to support and administer backend systems at their Trenton, NJ office.
Location : Trenton, NJ – Hybrid Role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Duration : 7+ months
Rate : Market Rate
Local Requirement : Candidates must be local to Trenton, NJ and be willing to work onsite three times per week.
Interview process : 2 interviews with the client – 1 virtual technical interview and 1 onsite interview (must be local).
What You'll Need :
3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in SQL Server administration and support (versions 2012 through latest)
Familiarity with SQL Server migration processes and tools (e.g., Data Migration Assistant, backup/restore, Always on, or log shipping)
Proficiency in T‑SQL and scripting for automation
Working knowledge of SQL Server features like jobs, indexes, users/roles, and performance plans
Experience supporting on‑premises and/or hybrid environments
Strong understanding of SQL Server tools: SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Profiler
Hands‑on experience with database migration tools and techniques
Experience with cloud‑based migration (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS for SQL Server)
Troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Good communication and documentation capabilities
Willingness to learn and work in a team‑oriented setting
Ability to follow directions while also taking initiative when needed
