Description Our client is looking for an experienced Windows Desktop Engineer Specialist to join their team within the financial services sector. This role is responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and support of Windows desktop environments across the enterprise, delivering a secure, reliable, and high‑performance end‑user computing experience tailored for front‑office, middle‑office, and back‑office financial professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement Windows 10/11 imaging solutions using Intune, Autopilot, and SCCM.

Apply and maintain Group Policy (GPO) configurations to ensure secure endpoint environments.

Package applications (MSI/App‑V) and manage software distribution and patching.

Automate processes with PowerShell scripting.

Support desktop virtualization platforms such as Citrix, VDI, AVD, and WIN365.

Collaborate with Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint teams to integrate collaboration tools.

Configure security hardening measures and ensure compliance with frameworks like PCI‑DSS and NCUA.

Provide technical troubleshooting and escalation support for end‑users.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Intune, Autopilot, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) for image builds and roll‑outs.

Proficient with Group Policy Objects (GPO) and Windows 10/11 environments.

Expertise in Windows 11 imaging and enterprise endpoint management.

Experience with application packaging (MSI/App‑V) and software distribution.

PowerShell scripting and automation skills.

Experience with desktop virtualization (Citrix, VDI, AVD, WIN365) and collaboration platforms (M365, Teams, SharePoint).

Knowledge of financial services applications is a plus.

Understanding of security hardening, compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI‑DSS, NCUA), and data protection.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Job Type & Location Contract to Hire – Winston Salem, NC.

Pay & Benefits $40.00 – $55.00 per hour.
