Position Overview The Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (CEED) in the Department of Psychiatry at the UNC‑CH School of Medicine invites applications for a Clinical Post‑Doctoral Fellowship. This full‑time, two‑year position begins on July 1, 2026. CEED provides evidence‑based inpatient and outpatient care for individuals with eating disorders. The fellowship is 80% clinical and 20% research. Clinical duties include comprehensive eating disorder evaluations and delivering individual, group, and family‑based psychotherapy in CEED Outpatient, CEED Eating Disorder Unit (EDU), and the Carolina Athletics Mental Health and Performance Psychology Program (MHPP). Research responsibilities involve current CEED projects and quality‑improvement initiatives. The role integrates advanced training and supervision in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities to work with student‑athletes, develop mental‑performance interventions, and prepare for independent practice at the assistant‑professor level.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements • Doctorate (Ph.D./Dr.Psych) in Clinical/Counseling Psychology, completed in an APA‑accredited program. • Internship completions at an APA‑accredited institution and eligibility for provisional licensure in North Carolina.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience • Experience with family‑based therapy and/or cognitive‑behavioral therapy for eating disorders.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience • Clinical background in eating disorders or demonstrated dedication to the field.
