Position Summary The Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (CEED) in the Department of Psychiatry at the UNC -CH School of Medicine invites applications for a Clinical Post-Doctoral Fellowship. This is a full‑time, two‑year position with a start date of July 1, 2026. UNC CEED provides multidisciplinary inpatient and outpatient care for individuals with eating disorders. The fellowship position will be 80 % clinical and 20 % research. The fellow’s primary clinical responsibilities include conducting comprehensive eating disorder evaluations and providing individual, group, and family‑based psychotherapy treatments in CEED Outpatient, CEED Eating Disorder Unit (EDU), and the Carolina Athletics Mental Health and Performance Psychology Program (MHPP). The fellow will also engage in research activities reflecting current CEED projects or quality‑improvement initiatives. The training philosophy follows a scientist‑practitioner model, providing advanced skills in psychology and evidence‑based practices in a specialized eating disorder setting. MHPP serves UNC varsity student‑athletes and offers brief and long‑term therapy in a multidisciplinary environment. The fellow will work with athletes presenting with disordered eating and body‑image concerns, be part of the Athlete Eating Disorder Team, and receive generalist training in mental‑performance interventions. Upon completion, the fellow will be prepared for independent practice at an assistant‑professor level within a medical school or similar setting.
