About the Role Are you ready to make an impact in a dynamic transportation logistics environment? As a
Claims Specialist , you’ll oversee the entire claims process - from intake to resolution - ensuring claims are handled efficiently, regulatory requirements are met, and financial risks are minimized. We’re seeking candidates with:
Demonstrated experience in auto damage estimating and cargo claims within the auto transportation industry.
Strong analytical and financial skills.
Technical proficiency in estimating and claims management.
A collaborative spirit for working with both internal teams and external partners.
This position reports to the Director of Claims and Insurance. This is an in‑office role (hybrid 3/2).

What You Will Be Doing
Oversee the full lifecycle of claims, including intake, triage, investigation, negotiation, resolution, and recovery/subrogation where applicable.
Apply best practices in claims handling and maintain consistency throughout all claim stages.
Review body shop estimates, supplements, and repair documentation to validate the accuracy of repair costs and line items.
Investigate vehicle transport losses, including damage, theft, and missing units.
Collect, manage, and maintain all claims documentation in compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Draft general releases, settlement agreements, and related documents under Director oversight; coordinate timely execution and payment processing.
Collaborate with Operations, Customer Support, Finance, and Legal teams to meet service level agreements and drive timely, equitable claim resolutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers and third‑party administrators (TPAs); ensure timely notifications and accurate documentation.
Monitor claims trends and deliver regular reports and insights to leadership.
Additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Team by Way of Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
in Business, Risk Management, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience
in auto estimating and claims management.
Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance preferred.
Strong knowledge of auto damage estimating, freight/cargo claims processes, and insurance policy structures.
Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations, multi‑jurisdictional claims practices, Carmack Amendment principles, and carrier liability standards.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and resolve complex issues within deadlines.
Strong business acumen and collaborative approach to working cross‑functionally with internal teams and external vendors.
Experience managing full claims lifecycle, coordinating with insurers and TPAs, and analyzing claims trends.
Strong communication skills, integrity, and sound judgment with experience handling sensitive information and conducting investigations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and claims management systems/tools.
Service‑oriented mindset with a positive, proactive attitude.
