Genesis10 is seeking a Scrum Master for a 12+ month contract in the financial industry. Locations: Charlotte, NC; Plano, TX; Pennington, NJ.
Responsibilities
Optimize the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum teams, focusing on serving the needs of the team to drive performance and growth.
Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, manage dependencies, and provide visibility into team delivery plans and progress.
Ensure impediments are resolved quickly and that the team follows agreed‑upon processes.
Foster a strong working relationship between the Product Owner and development team.
Promote and coach an Agile mindset and principles, empowering teams to become self‑managing and cross‑functional.
Facilitate dependency and risk management for Scrum teams and the Agile Release Train (ART).
Drive team and cross‑team impediment removal and support value delivery and Sprint commitments.
Maintain transparency through clear communication and collaboration across Agile teams and the ART.
Ensure the team maintains a healthy product and Sprint backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner.
Measure and review team delivery, maturity, and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
Enable the team to become high‑performing through collaboration and continuous improvement.
Collaborate across the ART to create program‑level visibility and drive commitment.
Lead ART ceremonies, support PI Planning preparation and execution, and contribute to building the Program Backlog.
Utilize Jira extensively to manage, pull, and consolidate user stories and Epics, ensuring alignment across teams and delivering insightful dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
Support additional responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the ART.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery lead.
Proven ability to optimize team performance and Agile delivery outcomes.
Strong proficiency in Jira, including creating advanced JQL queries, dashboards, and reports.
Experience managing and consolidating user stories and Epics across multiple teams or programs.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe principles.
Desired Skills
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) Certification or equivalent.
Experience working in a SAFe environment, including leading or supporting PI Planning events.
Familiarity with Agile metrics, continuous improvement practices, and program‑level transparency tools.
Experience supporting distributed or cross‑functional teams.
Pay Range $63.94 - $71.94 per hour.
