Responsibilities The HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Related’s Hudson Yards Experiences (HYE) division will be based at Related’s New York City headquarters, reporting to the Head of HR for Hudson Yards Experiences and serving as a strategic partner to the division’s leadership team.

Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Management

Act as the primary liaison for payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing, including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and bonuses.

Review payroll reports for accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Provide guidance to employees and managers on benefits, leaves of absence, and related payroll or deduction matters.

Support audits, reconciliations, and reporting related to compensation, benefits, and payroll compliance.

Employee Relations

Coach and counsel managers and employees on a broad range of employee relations matters; identify and clarify issues, evaluate potential solutions, and implement appropriate actions.

Mediate and resolve employee relations concerns; conduct investigations and recommend resolutions that align with company policy and culture.

Improve manager and employee performance by diagnosing issues, identifying solutions, and providing ongoing coaching and support.

Navigate sensitive and confidential matters with discretion; partner with legal resources as needed to mitigate risk in a complex employment environment.

Assist in preparing necessary documentation in compliance with HYE’s progressive discipline policy, including written warnings, performance improvement plans, and separation letters.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws; stay current on legislative changes and advise management on necessary actions.

Talent Development & Employee Engagement

Partner with division leaders on annual business, growth, and succession planning; identify development and learning opportunities for employees.

Coach managers and employees on career development, performance management, and talent planning.

Develop and lead strategies to strengthen workplace culture through communication, development, recognition, and engagement initiatives.

Lead HYE employee programs and events that foster collaboration and community across teams.

Implement HR initiatives, policies, and programs as needed.

HR Operations and HRIS Data Management

Maintain accurate and current employee data in the HRIS, ensuring compliance with data integrity standards and audit requirements.

Manage HR operational processes, including new hire onboarding, job changes, promotions, and terminations within the HRIS.

Prepare and analyze recurring and ad‑hoc HR reports and dashboards to support data‑driven decision making, identifying trends to support strategic recommendations.

Ensure HR documentation, employee records, and organizational charts are accurate, compliant, and securely maintained.

Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and workflows to drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or HR business partner role.

Experience working with or coordinating payroll functions.

Mature professional with excellent judgment, discretion, and interpersonal skills.

Highly entrepreneurial, self‑motivated, and results‑oriented approach.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels, tailor communication style to diverse audiences, and demonstrate diplomatic assertiveness when appropriate.

Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.

Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.
