What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Support the development of an analytical tool for automating the calculation of base layer indices for Equity Analysis
Enhance data management and integration capabilities within the ShinyApp platform
Upgrade visualization features and analytical flexibility for better data representation
Conduct training sessions for staff on the use of the ShinyApp application
Collaborate closely with various teams, including the geo-spatial and systems teams in DAPM
What is Required (Qualifications):
Advanced University degree in Computer Science, Data and Statistics, Geography, or a relevant field
Minimum of 12 years of professional experience using geospatial technologies for analysis
Proven experience with geospatial data science focused on humanitarian data and risk analysis
Strong coding skills in R, Python, ArcPy, and Django, with advanced proficiency in Esri products and QGIS
Exceptional English writing and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Familiarity with the Equity Analysis methodology
Experience developing and managing online geospatial dashboards
Experience with methodology documentation to academic publishing standards
