Sr. Talent Acquisition Partner at Epic Insurance Brokers & Consultants
Location: This role requires periodic travel to one of our California locations: Concord, Fresno, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Ontario, Pasadena, Rancho Cordova, San Francisco, San Leandro or San Mateo.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary expert resource and first point of contact for clients, including research/analysis and handling a wide variety of client questions regarding risk management, coverage/eligibility, contractual issues, and government reporting compliance. Prepares endorsements per client requests and provides resource, trend, and legal update information on an ongoing basis.
For new and renewal business, analyzes relevant client data, conducts market comparisons, strategizes with senior-level executives and managers, makes recommendations regarding coverage and exclusions, and negotiates premium and commission rates on behalf of clients.
Provides marketing and new business development support to producers, including preparing presentations and proposals and participating in meetings with prospective clients.
Conducts marketing and new business development for employee’s book of business.
Mentors and supports the team, encouraging development through training and growth opportunities.
Service
Establishes and maintains primary, ongoing business relationship with client and serves as first point of contact for all client service needs.
Maintains high levels of trust and confidence with clients through periodic contacts, promptly responding to and resolving client questions and issues.
Interfaces with clients, producers, and other team members to develop a comprehensive customer service plan.
Analyzes client and market data to prepare insurance renewal options, meets with clients to strategize, and advises on best alternatives.
Negotiates with carriers on clients’ behalf for best available premiums, commissions, and coverage.
Ensures expert knowledge is maintained and prepares resource information for clients regarding insurance, market and loss control trends, state and federal legislation, rules, and regulations.
Works with claims advocates to ensure the client’s needs are satisfied throughout the claims process.
Marketing
Prepares renewal specifications for presentation to carriers, including analysis of claims, changes in client operations, and recommended renewal pricing.
Negotiates with carriers for best available premiums, commissions, and coverage.
Conducts renewal presentations as part of the team.
Analyzes and provides client referrals to the Sales Team for Property Casualty and Employee Benefits opportunities.
Develops strong relationships with a wide range of business partners, including underwriters, wholesale brokers, monitoring counsel, defense counsel, and other professional service providers.
Personal and Organizational Development
Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure all goals are met.
Maintains cordial and effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
Documents correspondence and activity in agency management systems.
Interacts with others effectively, utilizing good communication skills and providing guidance as needed to achieve business goals.
Stays informed regarding industry information, new product and program developments, coverages, legislation, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
Projects a professional image in action and appearance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma. College degree preferred.
Minimum of five years’ experience in a mid-size brokerage or carrier.
Five years’ experience managing a book of business.
Captive experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, teamwork, poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Valid State Property and Casualty License required.
Valid State Driver’s License required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to travel independently to clients; some air travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Noise level is usually moderate. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
COMPENSATION The national average salary for this role is $90,000 to $98,000 in base pay, exclusive of bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
